Animation in high season
At Strandcamping Duinoord, nobody needs to be bored. During the summer holidays we run an extensive entertainment programme for all ages. From arts and crafts for the little ones to sporty challenges, creative workshops and lively evening entertainment, there’s always something going on.

Archery Tag
Enjoy an evening full of fun and action! Archery Tag is on the programme for children on 12, 19 and 26 July, and 9 and 16 August.
Bubble Football
On 7 August, you can climb into a giant inflatable ball and play football. Will you score a goal or knock the others over?
Obstacle Course
Every Wednesday and Sunday afternoon between 8 July and 9 August, there’s a massive 40-metre obstacle course packed with climbing, scrambling and sliding fun!
Aires the Wizard's Apprentice
On 23 July, children will enjoy a magical show full of wizardry, adventure and surprises with Aires the Wizard's Apprentice.
Falcons Show
On 11 July and 8 August, you can enjoy an impressive and exciting afternoon at the Falcons Show.
BMX trial show & workshops
On 24 July, it's all about action: learn cool tricks during the BMX workshops and later enjoy a spectacular trial show.
DJ workshop
On 30 July, young DJs will discover how to mix, spin and create their own beats during a fun and creative workshop.
Duinoord Run (with live music)
On 29 July, you can take part in the Duinoord Run. Choose one of the distances (1, 2 & 5 km) and join in! Or cheer on the runners and enjoy live music from the Hollumer Gromkes.
Circus Okidoki
From 29 July to 5 August, Circus Okidoki will be providing a fun-filled week of shows, games, music, workshops and creativity. A party for the whole family!
Drum Party
On 23 and 24 July children can let their hair down at the drum party, playing electronic drum kits in the drum caravan.
Lowland Brigade Pipe Band
On 1 August, the Lowland Brigade Pipe Band will give an atmospheric performance with powerful drums and classic bagpipe tunes.
Curling & shuffleboard
On 10, 17, 23 and 31 July and 7, 14 and 21 August, children can enjoy curling and shuffleboard, a fun mix of games and entertainment.
Concert Canite Tuba Brass Band
On 14 July and 3 August, you can enjoy an evening musical performance by the Canite Tuba Brass Band.
Pub Quiz
On 17 and 31 July, you can take part in our fun and educational pub quiz. Bring your team of four and win!
Hallo Kids Summer Tour
On 25 and 26 July, Hallo Kids radio will be at Duinoord. A cheerful live radio broadcast full of music and games – come along, join in and enjoy the experience!
Concert Cresendo
Crescendo Choir is a mixed choir on Ameland and will be putting on a spectacular performance on 27 July!
Concert Klassiek Kek
On 28 July, Klassiek Kek will be playing their violins, violas, cellos and double basses, delivering a surprising mix of classical and light repertoire.
Horizontoer Music
On 12 & 13 August, you can let your hair down to a variety of music, from groovy techno and crazy aerobics to polyphonic singing and acoustic instruments.
Hysterical Christmas bingo
On 21 July and 4 August, you can take part in a super fun bingo game with cheerful chaos and surprising Christmas prizes.
For little ones, children and teenagers
The very youngest can let their creativity loose at the Kids Club, where there’s plenty of crafting to get stuck into, or sit back and enjoy a cheerful puppet show.
For slightly older children there’s something different to do every day. How about:
- racing along our survival course
- taking on your friends in Adventure Archery Tag
- playing football on the pitch
- joining a Lego Masters session or a drum-party workshop
- learning tricks at circus sessions or taking part in BMX workshops
- searching for Pokémon or joining an exciting fox hunt
For adults
Most mornings you can wake up gently with a yoga session on the beach. In the evenings there’s plenty of entertainment: take part in a pub quiz, try your luck at bingo, be amazed by an illusion and magic show, or pull up a chair for a game of klaverjassen or shuffleboard.

Leisure on Ameland
There’s plenty to do beyond the campsite too, Ameland offers lots to discover. From Strandcamping Duinoord you can step straight onto the wide beach for a refreshing dip or a long walk along the tideline. The dunes are perfect for adventurous cycling and walking tours, and the picturesque villages of Nes, Buren, Ballum and Hollum have a genuine island atmosphere.
Wander through cosy streets filled with artisan shops, sample local treats and pop into a museum or gallery. You’ll also find many organised excursions and activities, from mudflat walking to seal-watching.
