On Ameland, they don't hunt for Easter eggs, but roll hard-boiled eggs instead. The idea is that everyone rolls their eggs down a dune and the person whose egg rolls the furthest or stays intact the longest is the winner! They call this “eirôlle”, “eislân”, “paaseigoaie” or “eismiete”, depending on the village.
