Route: Dunes and Beach Adventure
From Strandcamping Duinoord, walk towards the beach. Once on the beach, turn left towards the west. After about 1.5 km, leave the beach at the beach access next to Ameland Adventure. Walk down and take the concrete cycle path heading west (turn right). Continue for around 800 metres until you can cross towards the lake on the southern side of the path. Here you can take a break, enjoy the surroundings, spot birds and maybe even see a small salamander. Continue your walk along the unpaved path heading east, and return through the dunes to Strandcamping Duinoord. Alternatively, you can return the same way via the beach. Whichever route you choose, you’re sure to enjoy it.
