Luggage-free travel to Ameland
You don't really need a car on Ameland: everything is close by, and cycling and buses are perfectly organised. This is certainly true at Strandcamping Duinoord, which has its own supermarket and is located directly on the beach. Yet many people still bring their cars, mainly for their luggage. Sound familiar?
We have now come up with a solution: our Luggage Drop-off & Pick-up service. You drop off your belongings in Holwerd, and we make sure they are ready and waiting at your campsite or accommodation — for a reasonable price of only €45.00 return! This way, you can start your holiday without lugging around heavy bags, without stress — and without having to reserve a car space on the ferry.

To Ameland without a car
With the Ameland luggage service, travelling to and from Ameland without a car is child's play:
- Drop off in Holwerd: Drive to Beekema, Welvaren 1a. Your personal, lockable luggage box will be waiting for you there. Please note: Deliver your luggage no later than 11:30 a.m.
- Relaxed crossing: Enjoy your crossing to Ameland in peace and quiet: without having to lug heavy bags around.
- Collect your luggage at the campsite: At 2 p.m., your luggage box will be safely waiting for you at your campsite or accommodation at Camping Duinoord.
- Convenient return journey: On the day of departure, load your belongings back into the box before 12 noon. You can collect your belongings from Beekema in Holwerd from 5.15 p.m. onwards.
Cost: Only €45.00 return (you pay €84.48 less than if you were to travel by car!)
Available: Every Monday and Friday, from 6 July to 21 August daily from Monday to Friday.
