Sunlodge
The Sunlodge is a spacious, fully furnished tent for up to 5 people. Enjoy the authentic camping experience with a little extra comfort. Your tent is ready and waiting when you arrive, complete with comfortable beds, a kitchen, a cosy dining area and a spacious covered terrace.
You'll be staying amongst the dunes at Strandcamping Duinoord, just a short walk from the beach and sea. Simply unpack your bags and your holiday on Ameland can begin.
Bedrooms
The Sunlodge has two separate sleeping cabins and sleeps up to 5 people. The beds are divided as follows:
- 1 sleeping cabin with 2 beds next to each other
- 1 sleeping cabin with 3 single beds
You can simply pull your own (fitted) sheets over the mattresses.
Kitchen
Whether you fancy breakfast at your tent or preparing your own evening meal, the Sunlodge has a practical kitchen equipped with:
- Fridge
- Cooking facilities
- Coffee machine
- Kitchen equipment
- Dining table and chairs
Everything you need to easily prepare your own meals during your holiday.
Enjoy the outdoors
A holiday on Ameland is all about spending time outdoors. That's why the Sunlodge has a spacious covered terrace. It's the perfect place to enjoy a quiet morning coffee, play a game together or relax outside after a day exploring the island.
On the terrace you'll find:

- Is there WiFi at Camping Duinoord?
Yes, WiFi is available throughout almost the entire site. Coverage may vary due to the location in the dunes.
- Can I hire bikes at the campsite?
Yes, bike rental Kiewiet is located on the campsite. Here you can rent a bike for your stay on the island.
- Can I bring my pet to the campsite?
No, pets are not permitted at Strandcamping Duinoord in order to protect the peace and quiet and nature.
